From the author of Midnight in Jackie’s Garden comes Feather and Bone, a volume of short stories that will pull you into the darkest recesses of your childhood memories and into the realm of shadows and psychotic nightmares.

“Don’t you know where you are? Why, this is Hell’s End, my man. This is home. This is the dark spaces inside the cabinets — the places where dull lights from single bulbs never reach. This is the place where all your old friends are waiting for you, waiting back in the shadows.”

Midnight in Jackie’s Garden is a story of terror, guilt, and retribution set in an ordinary town on a rainy summer night. The characters could be your next-door neighbors but that’s where normal ends. The sharp twists and turns take us into the extraordinary very quickly.

A splendidly scary short story with excellent writing, leaves you wanting more! Hoping to see more from this author soon! – Elizabeth

For a short story, it kept me on the edge of my seat and horrified me in the few short chapters. Great read!! – April

    • Thank you very much, Vincent. Any time I can be mentioned with Stephen King is an honor. Hopefully there will be many more books to come.

    • Nellieanna, you humble me. I am so glad to see you here. I would hate to see you scared, but if you do read the story…leave the lights on! 🙂

    • Oh, Jane. Thank you very much. I am currently working on a volume of short stories that will be a novel size paperback. It will probably be ready in a couple more months. I truly appreciate your interest.

    • Hi Jane. I take it you enjoyed the story. I know that horror is not popular with everyone, so I’m never quite sure how responsive some of my fellow writers are going to be. I have enjoyed corresponding with you so I am thrilled to know you supported me and again, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read the work.

  1. Thank you for trying to leave a review. They can be very helpful. I’m not sure why you are not able to but I do remember that the first time I tried to leave one, even though I had an account, I had to register as a reviewer. Have you ever reviewed before?
anyway, even if you are not able I sincerely appreciate your recommendation. Thank you so much.

  2. Wayne, Vincent compared you to Stephen King. King and Dean Koontz are my favorite authors (Koontz over King). I would love to purchase your book but don’t own an e-reader. Is it available in hard copy?

    • Yes, Sha. It isn’t available yet, but hopefully it is just around the corner. I will be letting everyone know as it draws closer and of course I will announce it when it is done.
