Whether you know me personally, through social media, my website or the 10 most wanted list, I am hoping to get to know you better and to share with you some of my ideas and inspirations. I am looking forward to your comments and feedback and will be open to contact for anyone with questions or just a desire to chat a little more in depth on a subject you might find interesting.
Taking the plunge
I am only dipping my toes in the water with this first post, but as time goes by I will be diving right in.
My hope is that some of you will follow me to the deep end where I look forward to sharing some of my knowledge and experience as well as directing you to any outside guidance concerning the world of art.
Hoping I don’t sound redundant to those who have already read my bio, I would like to reintroduce myself. my website focuses on my visual artwork and my writing, but I am also a musician.I will leave the details of that medium for a later date, but I will give you this,(something you may have already surmised from my bio picture)the instrument of my choice is the blues harmonica.
My biggest project to date is a collection of short stories that will be published in print form and will be available on e-reader devices. The book is presently being edited and formatted for publication and should be ready for the market sometime this summer.
While this project is in the works I am working on a novel that I hope to see published next year.
What is an artist?
Some of you know me as a writer, some as a painter, and others as a musician. In my opinion, if you practice any of these mediums you are an artist—a creator.
In time I hope to bring you a little more up-close and personal than just browsing my website. I will be opening up to fellow artists, and whoever else might be interested in a more in depth view of the life of an artist.
I will share the joys and the struggles. I’ll let you hear the missed notes, see the garbage-can full of edits and point out the smudge of green paint on the tip of my nose. (Well, let’s just hope it’s only green paint!)
And we’re off
I am looking forward to the world of blogging and I am really hoping I see you there—and I hope I remember to zip my fly!
